Girls Flag Football & CIF
Girls flag football is the dominant force driving high school flag football growth in Southern California. Boys Flag Football — Emerging Programs
While girls flag football holds CIF-sanctioned varsity status across California, boys high school flag football is at an earlier stage. Several SoCal school districts — including programs in Orange County and the Inland Empire — have run pilot competitions and intramural programs, and statewide legislation continues to advance.
Boys club and recreational flag football remains active year-round through NFL FLAG leagues, local organizers, and open tournaments.
