NFL Air Attack’s Winter 2027 program is an all-girls flag football league for first- through 11th-grade players. For parents and players comparing winter options, the important questions are not just the season dates: which Friday game area is practical, how will the player be placed by age or grade, and when can the coach schedule practice?

At a Glance

  • Game nights: Fridays, January 22 and 29; February 5, 12 and 19, 2027. Playoffs and Super Bowl are listed for February 19.
  • Game areas: Chula Vista, North County, Poway and Santee/East County, with multiple possible fields in several areas.
  • Who plays: Girls in grades 1–11; youth brackets are 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U, plus a high-school division for grades 9–11.
  • Weekly commitment: One coach-scheduled practice plus a Friday game.
  • Posted fees: $160 early bird, $210 regular and $250 late, depending on registration date.

Choose the game area before assuming a venue

The organizer lists Chula Vista fields around Sonia Sotomayor Elementary, Meadow Park and Millenia Park; North County options at Palomar College or San Marcos Middle School; Poway options at Meadowbrook Middle or Valley Elementary; and Santee/East County options at Town Center Community Park or Granite Hills High School. These are alternatives, not a single confirmed field for every player. The Friday-night drive may be predictable at the area level, but the exact site and kickoff time need the team schedule.

Practice is a separate decision. NFL Air Attack says coaches set one practice each week at times and locations convenient to their teams. Choosing a nearby game area does not, by itself, establish where a player will practice. The organizer also accepts friend or team requests during registration; it does not promise every request can determine placement.

Age and grade can lead to different placements

The 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U divisions use age as of August 1, 2026; the high-school division covers ninth through 11th grades. The league says it may roster players by age or grade depending on total registration. That matters most for players near a bracket boundary: the broad “grades 1–11” description alone does not identify their eventual teammates and opponents.

What participation and the fee include

The organizer says each player takes part in at least three of four quarters. It supplies a jersey, shorts and flags. Players bring a mouthpiece and must wear it at every practice and game; soft-shell helmets are optional, and metal cleats are not allowed.

The current page lists $160 early bird from October 2 to November 1, $210 regular from November 1 to December 1, and $250 late after December 2. It does not state a final registration closing date. Its refund terms change after seven days from registration and again after December 8, so the written policy matters if a schedule or health issue might prevent participation.

Which calendar should parents use?

An October 8 Instagram announcement gives different season dates and a December 7 closing date. This guide follows NFL Air Attack’s current Winter Registration page, which lists Friday games January 22–February 19 and late registration after December 2. The organizer has not explained the difference publicly; use the live registration details when making plans.
